Good health: our wish for South Africa. A gift from this group will help educate disadvantaged communities about healthy living, disease prevention and nutrition, provide training for health care workers and support basic health care for vulnerable groups like children, women and the elderly.

Without addressing basic healthcare and life-threatening diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS and TB, South Africa will not be able to tackle other pressing socio-economic challenges. There are critical shortages of staff, skills, training, services, facilities, transport, equipment, education programmes and medicines in the public health system, particularly in disadvantaged rural areas.
