Gifts4Good with its Giving Season promotion is an online shop with a difference. Powered by GreaterGood South Africa, Gifts4Good stocks carefully selected alternative ‘gifts’ which support pre-assessed development projects working to end poverty in South Africa.

How it works:

1. Buy a gift for a friend and for a good cause.
2. The value of your gift goes to a community project in need.
3. Your friend gets a fun e-card and together you change lives.

Where your gifts go

We use the SA Social Investment Exchange assessment and evaluation process to select the projects and organisations that benefit, except in the Community gift group where gifts support much-needed training, skills and resources to good causes working in disadvantaged communities.

We use this process to ensure that gifts will have a real and meaningful impact on people and communities, and that the donated money will be properly spent and accounted for.

Gifts represent real items needed by SASIX projects and to keep our giving community going. In order for your gift to make a real, sustainable difference on the ground, the monetary value of the gift contributes to the overall implementation of projects in the gift group, or sector, you have chosen. Gifts4Good transfers the value of your donation to the organisation once the entire project has been fully funded.

All organisations funded through Gifts4Good have to submit detailed reports on the progress and completion of their projects. We post highlights from these reports on our News page – so keep coming back to find out how your gifts have helped to change lives.

Rocking the giving season

Over the giving season from November to January each year, our Giving Season promotion offers a range of alternative festive gifts to help people make a difference at this special time of year. Gifts are linked to specific, evaluated social development projects that are in need of funding. We use the same SASIX process to select, monitor and evaluate the projects that will benefit from your giving season generosity.
